Last Updated: 31 March, 2025
Introduction
This Limited Warranty (“Warranty”) is issued by Protec Technologies Inc. (“PROTEC Recovery,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and applies to all PROTEC Recovery devices, accessories, and apparel purchased directly from www.protecrecovery.com or authorised retailers.
This Warranty is in addition to consumer rights provided by UK law, including protections under The Consumer Rights Act 2015. It grants specific legal rights to customers while ensuring that PROTEC Recovery remains protected from liability due to improper use, modifications, or external damage to the product.
By purchasing and using a PROTEC Recovery product, you agree to the terms set forth in this Warranty. This Warranty does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Warranty Coverage
PROTEC Recovery warrants that its hardware products, accessories, and apparel shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the original purchase date (“Warranty Period”) when used under normal conditions and in accordance with PROTEC Recovery’s guidelines.
During this one-year period, PROTEC Recovery will provide a replacement device for any defective unit, provided the defect is due to materials or workmanship and not a result of misuse or unauthorised modifications.
To claim warranty service, the user must provide proof of purchase, order number, and email address associated with the original purchase.
If a defective unit is replaced, the replacement unit is covered for the remainder of the original one-year Warranty Period. No extensions or renewals of the warranty will apply to replacement units.
Warranty Exclusions
This Warranty does not cover the following:
Cosmetic Damage: Scratches, nicks, dents, or normal wear and tear affecting plastic surfaces or any externally exposed parts that do not impact device functionality.
Consumable Parts: Charging cables, battery packs, and any other consumable components unless failure is due to defects in materials or workmanship.
Accidental or External Damage: Damage caused by water, flood, fire, earthquakes, exposure to extreme conditions, or other acts of nature.
Misuse or Improper Handling: Damage caused by dropping, crushing, submerging in water, or exposing the device to extreme heat, cold, or chemicals.
Unauthorised Modifications: Damage or defects resulting from repairs, alterations, disassembly, or modifications carried out by anyone other than PROTEC Recovery or an authorised service provider.
Incorrect Charging Methods: Damage caused by the use of non-PROTEC-approved power cables, charging docks, or voltage settings.
Failure to Use as Intended: Damage resulting from use outside of normal and customary recovery applications, including misuse of the device in any way that contradicts PROTEC Recovery’s usage guidelines.
Devices Used Without an Active Subscription: If a user cancels their device subscription and is no longer an active subscriber, they will not receive warranty coverage or replacement devices beyond the initial 12-month period.
If any of the above conditions apply, the device will not be eligible for warranty service, and the customer will be responsible for the cost of any repairs or replacements.
